We’ve had a few odd requests for a voice over job…

We’ve had someone looking to narrate the entire Bible, which proved to be difficult due to the length of time required for the project, as you all know taking on a big one off job can cause problems when other jobs pop up and do you want to be unavailable and dedicated to just one thing for so long?

We had a request for a voice recording for a sex line, this isn’t that odd I suppose but it was an awkward one to select voices for and then actually approach potential people with.

One voice over job was looking for a neutral english accent with a northern european twinge, I’m sure a few of you recall this one on the facebook page and unfortunately English with Northern England was just not unacceptable nor was the English but I’ve lived in Ireland, but I got the impression you knew that when you told me, always worth a shot though.

Leading me to the reason for this blog, the question I want answered – What is the weirdest voice over job you have done? Nothing particularly weird? Then tell us about the best or worst voice over job you’ve done. Longest time taken on a job? Quickest job? Any jobs you’ve decided it’s just not worth it anymore and given up on? Or one of my personal favourites have you ever done a voice over job and been called about the same job later on being told that the original person they tried was just no good!! I never did find out if they just did it again or told them they were the same “no good” person they were talking about. Must look into that.
