Northern Irish Premier of Paranorman Hosted by Piehole Member
A quick shout out to Tim Burden.
Tim has been working with Cinemagic for over 10 years and their latest film festival for young people was launched with the Northern Ireland premiere of ParaNorman.
Tim was asked to host a Q&A with special guest, Chris Butler (the writer & director of ParaNorman) and they chatted extensively about the intricate time and work that goes into an animated film of this scale. Particularly when we’re talking about ghosts and zombies! The next time you eat a burger, just think that the sound it makes whenever you munch into it, is the same squelch a zombie’s body makes when its devoured remains are walking down the street! Well, that’s what the sound guys do to re-create it. They must be sick looking at burgers just to get the sound effect right!
They also talked at length about the music, character voices and casting as well as how Chris draws influence from Italian horror and 80′s movies. The audience questions were great, they asked about the film and its construction and Chris instilled lots of valuable knowledge into their minds! Many of which could be our next generation of superb film makers!
Tim’s profile can be seen here http://www.piehole.co.uk/TimBurden where you can enjoy his interview with Kermit the Frog, Tim is also currently voicing the Dogs Trust Summer / Autumn campaign.
We hope to hear more great things from Tim soon, as well as all our other highly valued members – please let us know about whatever it is that you have been up to and we’ll try and get it all announced for you.
Love as always – Team Piehole
